Yesterday’s event was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have on the lives of those less fortunate. Join me as I recount my experience at the Lebaran Yatim event with IMSACare Indonesia and share a touching story about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Alhamdulillah, I was honored to attend the Lebaran Yatim event with IMSACare Indonesia. It was a day filled with love, care, and community spirit. Unfortunately, Mbak Dewi couldn’t be with us as her daughter, Fatima, is unwell. Let’s all send our prayers for Fatima’s speedy recovery.
The Profound Legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
During his pilgrimage journey from Medina to Mecca at the age of 63, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) made a poignant stop at his mother Aminah’s grave. Overwhelmed by grief, he wept—a rare display of emotion that moved his Companions to tears as well. This powerful moment underscores the enduring pain he felt over his mother’s loss when he was just six years old. Even fifty-seven years later, the sorrow had not faded.
A Lesson in Compassion and Gratitude
The saying goes, “One who lacks something cannot give it.” The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was orphaned at a young age but experienced immense love from others—Halimah Sa’diyah, his grandfather, his uncle, and his beloved wife Khadijah. His ability to deeply appreciate Allah’s mercy and blessings, despite having little materially, fueled his capacity to offer profound love and compassion to his Ummah.
Empowering Orphans Through IMSACare
Reflecting on this, I see a parallel with the children supported by IMSACare, thanks to generous donors in the US and Canada. These children, though facing hardships, receive care and attention that instill hope and resilience. I pray they can appreciate the blessings in their lives and grow to share and contribute positively to society. May Allah SWT ease their paths and grant them success.
Jazakumullahu khairan kathiran to everyone who has extended their support. Your contributions are not just acts of charity; they are continuous investments in the future of these young lives. May Allah SWT accept your deeds as righteous and lasting charity.
Thank you for reading. Together, let’s continue to make a difference.
Salaam and BarakAllahu fiik,
