Transportation:
Getting to and from camp
Campers are expected to provide their own transportation.
Assistance from the St. Louis Airport to the campsite will be provided.

Please read the next sections carefully to ensure the safety of all campers and participants!
Attire

Shirts must be worn at all times

Shorts must follow Islamic Guidelines covering a man’s awrat

Participants must sleep in proper pajamas

Pants should cover undergarments at all times

Men and Women shall follow Islamic Guidelines of covering awrat for the duration of the camp

Do your best to stay safe at all times

Communicate to volunteers and others if you need to stray from the group. Keep your phone close to you at times of separation.

Campers are responsible for cleaning up after themselves, helping with meals, etc.

Campers must practice proper conduct at all times, obeying all safety rules and regulations.

Camp pranks, gags, or youth-initiated activities which may result in the compromised safety or health of another individual, physically, mentally, emotionally, etc., will not be tolerated.

YIL has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, intimidation, persecution, or deliberate meanness to others. This behavior is adversative to the theme of the camp and the overall mission of YIL. The consequence of above mentioned is removal from the camp.

Obscene and inappropriate language is not permissible while at camp.

Campers should be aware of upholding good hygiene. They should shower regularly and not smell.

Campers should be appropriately attired for the day’s activities. If you are unsure of appropriate attire please consult a volunteer and the clothing suggestions for assistance before or/and during camp.

Please be mindful of your electronic devices. YIL is not responsible for any damage to your belongings.

Recording or photographing others without their consent is strictly prohibited and can result in being sent home.

All interactions between opposite genders should be purposeful, public, and limited. Non-purposeful, unsupervised, and/or excessive intermingling between genders goes against Islamic values

Campers are prohibited from bringing or possessing any weapons, sharp objects, recreational drugs, flammable material and/or any unprescribed medication.

Vandalism and damage to the camp or the property of others are prohibited.

Campers are required to keep their cabin, self, and surroundings clean.

Items of significant value shall be left at home. YIL is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Disciplinary action will be taken on campers who continuously disobey camp rules or are found intentionally compromising the safety of other campers.
